    The Sparta Ballistic Separator is designed to separate the rollable 3-D material (including containers, bottles, cans etc.) from the flat 2-D fraction (predominantly paper), via a series of inclined walking paddles. Separating material by both size and density, it utilizes a series of rotating paddles on cam shafts, which continually throw the material upwards and forwards.

    BALLISTIC SEPARATOR

    The Sparta Ballistic Separator is designed to separate the rollable 3-D material (including containers, bottles, cans etc.) from the flat 2-D fraction (predominantly paper), via a series of inclined walking paddles. Separating material by both size and density, it utilizes a series of rotating paddles on cam shafts, which continually throw the material upwards and forwards. The 2-D material resists being thrown, lays flat on the paddles, and gets carried forward off the end of the Ballistic. The 3-D material bounces and rolls backwards, and is discharged off the rear of the Ballistic. These staggered paddles also screen out fines through the paddle-perforation holes. Sparta’s Ballistic separator can efficiently process a variety of waste streams, including: single stream, MSW, and commercial & industrial waste.
