Founded in 1976 by Jean-Marie Allain in rural New Brunswick, Allain Equipment began as a small welding and fabrication shop beside a family farmhouse.
Over the next three decades, the company built a strong reputation for quality craftsmanship, dependable service, and the ability to solve complex manufacturing challenges. Working across industries – from fire trucks and municipal equipment to forestry applications and custom fabrication – Allain Equipment grew steadily through trusted relationships, eventually becoming one of the region’s most respected fabrication companies.
A new chapter began in 2007 when Bruno Lagacé and Jacques Goguen acquired the company. Building on the strong foundation established by Jean-Marie, they expanded the company’s vision and led its transformation into the recycling and material recovery industry.
As the business continued to grow throughout North America, it rebranded as Sparta Manufacturing in 2011, reflecting a bold new direction while preserving the values that had defined the company since its beginnings.
